In the heart of a small and peaceful village, the heavy shadow of a heartbreaking tragedy has fallen: Agha Ali, who was only a few days after his brutal murder. While driving home from a busy day to the warm embrace of his family, he was chased by unknown people on the street and shot dead. The mystery of his death is still unsolved, and longing and sadness have filled the atmosphere of this small village, where almost everyone knows each other and the sorrow of one is the sorrow of all.
Nearby, but in another corner of the mountains, a woman named Mariam Khanum lives with her two young daughters. They have no home and the village cemetery is their only refuge. Every day, Mariam walks among the silent tombstones and, with a heartfelt prayer, calls Agha Ali's soul to rest; perhaps in this sympathy, she will also find relief for her own wounds.
But hope, like a faint light, has sprouted in Mariam's life. She plans to buy a plot of land in the heart of the village and build a shelter for herself and her daughters. But on this winding road, bureaucratic bureaucracy stands in the way. The municipal official has called her and asked her to go to the site as soon as possible. The official's message is clear and blunt: "To live on the land, you must first obtain the necessary permits and the cost must be paid in two installments."
