In a dark corner of the city, somewhere in the cold and helpless, Amina, a pregnant and exhausted mother, lived her days with fear and hunger, along with her little daughter Fadia. They had no shelter, except for hope that faded every day. But this hope also faded when Davoud, a cruel and heartless man, entered their lives.

The operator, who had been following Amina's situation out of compassion, worriedly notified the police. The search began and Davoud was finally found. But Amina, with a thousand wounds on her soul and tension, stayed at Davoud's sister's house - the same Afsaneh Khanom - at her insistence; without knowing that this temporary shelter would turn into a new trap.

The next morning, when the operator went again to check on Amina, there was no sign of her. Afsaneh was trying to hide the truth with false smiles and misleading words. The operator's heart sank. He called the police again and an anxious search began.

An hour later, a heavy silence broke. Amina was found... In a cold, dark toilet, amidst the smell of dampness and dirt, her lifeless body was lying on the floor. Her breath caught in her chest. The operator, with trembling hands, approached her, while tears were rolling down her cheeks. The police took her pulse - there was no news. They pulled a black cloth over her body...

For a moment when time stood still, the operator sat silently, embraced Amina, and shook her with all his brokenness, as if there was still hope hidden somewhere.

And suddenly, a small miracle... A weak breath returned to Amina's chest. Her eyes opened with difficulty, and life flared up in her again. Tears of sorrow turned into tears of gratitude.

Afsaneh was arrested, justice was served, but nothing could heal the wounds of Amina's soul. She was still a mother, still pregnant, still alive... and still, amidst the pain and darkness, she had a small light in her heart - a light for Fadia.

Let us pray for this mother, for this suffering woman...
